About him
I should be quite an analytical person but looking in the mirror isn't quite so easy.
With some decent qualifications and a first career in science, I guess there's some claim to be intelligent and in a worldwise sense as well as book-learning Thoughtful, patient, honest and genuine might be other characteristics that come to mind, sensitive to situations and tactful too I hope. Don't take myself too seriously and do struggle to act my age sometimes. Definite sense of humour but more quirky and irreverent than stand-up comedian.
Probably more home-loving than globe-trotting these days but open-minded.
Currently still run a modestly successful small business and aim to keep doing so, albeit making more free time for myself. Having built the business from scratch is a satisfying achievement, as was managing the build of my current house.
Interested in many things in the world around with a strong sense of curiosity. Definitely interested in current affairs but not strongly left/right politically - can easily see both sides of a sound argument. Green issues yes, but only insofar as they can really honestly work as opposed to blind ideological campaigning. Frequent LBC listener and sometimes BBC Parliament, but equally happy down at the local or a run out eg to the coast.

Warm, friendly, chatty with the right chemistry is the starting point. Down to earth nature a definite plus, with few airs and graces.
A deal-breaker would be a racist outlook on life or unwilling/unable to see other peoples' points of view. Total OCD behaviour would be difficult.
Someone who might enjoy a Macan would be a bonus (-; (but of course you'd need to know what one of those was!).
