Well hello! Thanks for stopping by. I'm looking for something very simple. I want to love and be loved.
I'm open and wear my heart on my sleeve - I don't play games. Close friends, family and former partners have described me as passionate, sensitive, intelligent, loving, caring, vivacious, fun, spontaneous, adaptable, down-to-earth, practical, romantic, outgoing and kind. I have children, and grandchildren who I love deeply but very much live my own life. I look and act young for my age and seek a partner who similarly is not completely conventional.
During some of the week I live in Surrey and work within a university; at the weekends I am home, in a sleepy seaside town on the Essex/Suffolk border with my ageing, soppy black lab. I typically work from home once a week and can be quite flexible around the weekend as to when I am in Surrey, and when I am home in Essex. I would be happy to meet someone who is in easy travelling distance of either location.
I adore travelling and music, and have very eclectic tastes in both (e.g. Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Greece, Morocco; folk, trance, vocal jazz, world, reggae, pop, some rock, some drum and base, some R n B). I enjoy cooking together and trying new delicious recipes. I love wine and am a coffee and wine snob to some degree I have to admit. I love being outside and crave the sunshine and so therefore often holiday abroad in the winter rather than in the summer. I rarely watch TV.
I am very social so meeting members of a partner's family and also their friends is no challenge for me; I am easy to get along with I am told. I am very tiny and quite curvaceous - full of fun!

For me, chemistry is everything. I am not interested in developing an 'online' connection; if we 'chat' briefly and like what we can see and read about each other then I'd like us to meet soon afterwards. I am looking for someone who, if we both find we click, genuinely wants to settle down and have a long-term relationship. They need to be tactile, loving and caring and be able to show their love sincerely with actions as well as words. A good sense of humour and optimistic outlook in life are essential.
Because I enjoy spending time with family and friends and being outside in the sunshine, a partner would also need to be happy sometimes spending time this way.Music is very important to me too, as is my faithful old lab with whom I love to stroll along the beach - sharing these small pleasures in life would be wonderful.
I am more a peaceful country girl than a hectic city dweller so someone like-minded would probably be a good idea because then we can both enjoy strolling in the countryside, by the sea, or in another country hand-in-hand, perhaps stopping off somewhere to explore, rest a while, or grab a cold glass of wine/ a beer or something delicious to eat. I appreciate small pleasures in life and constantly find myself noticing the beauty in the world around me and in others with whom I come into contact.
