About her
Single, independent, but it would be so lovely to share some of life's experiences with someone again. A good start would be to just enjoy some activities together - a film, a meal, a walk, a sunset.
The idea of marketing myself brings me out in a rash, so I’m just going to be as honest as I can. Photos are genuine and all taken since 2019. Ethnicity: Anglo-Indian, but culturally European. I'm sociable, enjoy the theatre, cinema, love France. I hope you'd find me warm, open-hearted, intelligent, principled, good company, supportive and easy going. I laugh readily - genuine mirth, not dementia. I'm an animal-lover, linguist (French), politically left of centre, europhile and I take an interest in current affairs. I love music (most genres), living in the country, relaxed dinners with friends. I recently took up drawing and water colour painting - lack of talent is no impediment, I find.
My current companion is my dog, Poppy. I love her in the same unconditional way she loves me (and just about any other human, to be truthful). If you're not a member of the mutt appreciation society, our meetings would be rare!
About her ideal match
I would like to meet somebody of roughly the same age (plus or minus a couple of years). I can fantasize about my 'ideal' match, but ideals are not reality. Life is too short to overlook lovely people in search of 'the one'. But I certainly prefer some people to others, and if you're literate, reflective and communicate well (i.e. achieve a good balance between talking and listening), and you have a genuine interest in others, you'll capture my interest. You'll be someone who enjoys conversation, but isn't freaked out by companionable silence; you'll have similar values (I'm not a rabid leftie, but unlikely to be compatible with a Tory voter, I'm afraid). If you are interesting and thoughtful, capable of being moved by music, the beauty of the natural world, or the kindness of strangers, I'll be drawn to you.
