About him
I'm on the edge of retirement and currently working as a full time volunteer at two large Church institutions near Westminster Abbey. Although this gives my life meaning, I have time to spread my wings and to enjoy life. I live in central London where there is much to explore and do, and until recently had a holiday flat in my native rural Northumberland.
A friend describes me as a person who gives. I spent many years looking out for my mother and elderly half sister and now planning retirement and looking for new ideas. People tell me I am charming, with a dry sense of humour. Educated at Marlborough and Clare Cambridge. I'm a committed traditional Christian for whom faithfulness, family and commitment is important. For me my faith means daily Gregorian chanting at home, visits to Alton Abbey near Winchester. I enjoy outings in the country, especially with good food, visits to Cambridge University Library, and travel.
I'm a member in Central London, social member of a major golf club and can hold a good conversation. I give talks from time to time on the Early Church, and enjoy good music and annual visits to Glyndebourne for the superb music, gardens and antiques in the Organ Room.
