About him
I'm enjoying my retirement, but, amongst other things, I'd like to do more travelling and, as that's more fun as a couple, I'd like to meet someone to share adventures near and far with. My three children are independent and getting on with their lives, my son, his partner and my two grandchildren not far from me and my daughters a bit further afield in the South East, each enjoying interesting careers in the arts / heritage sector.
I'm 5'8" and still of fairly athletic build and I'd say considered intelligent. I'm pretty easy going with a young outlook and I think, the obligatory sense of humour. Warm and friendly, but I have my quiet moments. Honest, sincere, considerate and respectful of others' views and opinions.
I can listen to most types of music from folk to rock to classical and enjoy playing guitar. I like most sports and I'm still fit and active, thanks to indoor rowing and walking most days.
Love the outdoors, travelling in Europe and further afield, lakes, mountains, quiet beaches. With the right company, I can be equally happy staying in or going out, reading, walking, travelling, at the cinema, music concert, watching sports....or just being together
