Does anyone on here play Bridge or would be willing to learn with me? I'm a beginner too and would love a partner....Maybe not the correct way to start a profile but I'm known for doing odd things ;o)
I'm not a 24/7 "live-in-your-pocket" lady, I like personal space and I hope you do too but I'm genuinely looking for a forever relationship. Im not on here for "flings" / one night stands so please move on to another profile if that's what you want.
My interests are probably not much different to other people's on here and I think it's better to meet up for a coffee and a chat face to face rather than keep sending over emails? Hope you agree?..
I like to think of myself as a positive, happy-go-lucky person and I'm hoping to meet up with someone similarly happy natured who likes a good conversation, someone tactile who is missing a nice comforting hug :) I'm doing my best trying to not go into old age on my own but it's not easy!
I enjoy socialising, reading, photography and bridge, I belong to a local discussion group and book reading group and I'm in the process of setting up my own history group. I have lived and worked in Africa and India and I'm currently teaching English but only part -time. My day to day life is full, interesting and happy, just missing that one person to hold hands with and I would be happy to reduce my activities to be with the one person I'm on here looking for.

Putting aside personality for a moment, I think first impressions count in life and I wouldn't turn up for a date looking scruffy. I like to look like I take pride in my appearance and the same goes for people I meet. I warm to happy,touchy-friendly people who aren't afraid to show their feelings. I'd be proud to be the other half of a well-mannered, romantic gentleman with old-fashioned values who can show a feminine side when needs be....
I don't think you can sum up your "ideal match". You just have to meet up and see if there's a spark. That's why I think it's better to meet up early on and not keep emailing?
