About him
Humorous, kind, caring and genuine are just some of the common adjectives that my friends used when asked to describe me - I have some very good friends:) Friends and family are very important to me but they cannot replace the special one to one close and loving relationship which most of us are looking for....
I am an Englishman living in rural South West France. I prefer countryside, small towns and villages to Cities although I do enjoy the occasional week-end City break. I suppose I like the simple pleasures in life - barbeques, log fires, walking through the woods or around the lake with the dogs on a misty morning, sat on the deck admiring the sunset with a glass of wine, friends, laughter, banter....I also like cooking, meals out, live music, days out by car or motorbike, evenings in front of the tv with a good film, glass of beer and homemade pizza!
I am normally cheerful and am not afraid to laugh at myself when I do something daft! I prefer compromise to confrontation and often use humour to defuse situations. I dislike people who are cruel, arrogant, mean spirited or who sulk for days on end when they don't get their own way. Life's too short!

I'm looking for someone with a similar nature to myself. I'm not perfect (pretty close but not quite:)) and I don't expect you to be either! You will need to like animals, particularly dogs, be kind, cheerful and genuinely enjoy living in the countryside. I hope to find someone who would seriously consider joining me in France should a relationship develop.
