My friends consider me to be kind, generous, thoughtful and great entertainment. I enjoy socialising, dining out, going to theatre, cinema or a quiet night in reading, listening to music or watching TV.
I’m not the outdoors type; so I don’t like trekking, camping or things like keep fit and jogging. But I am interested in learning. So I enjoy any chance to see more of other countries as well as the UK and Ireland.
I enjoy my comforts in life now that I am retired: so a cruise, to me, is much more appealing than glamping or Safari.
I am not into sport very much, but I enjoy watching tennis, rugby, Gaelic football. I still need to learn all of the rules of rugby. And I have never asked anyone about the rules of cricket.
I used to be a good cook and enjoy cookery programmes.
I have never played any card games except Rummy and Snap, as a child. So Bridge is out for me.
I enjoy good food and good wine.
I have been told that I am very patient, very disorganised and chaotic in my organisation! I have been told often that I am a, “real character” and that, “They broke the mould when they made [me]”. These words have always been said to me in a complimentary way; And I have been more than happy to accept them.
I am very open minded. But I usually speak my mind.
I am a confident person. I am happy to be myself........ But I just wonder sometimes, if there isn’t someone out there with whom I could enjoy myself, knowing that he is equally enjoying himself.
