About her
I'm told by friends that I am attractive and young at heart, and certainly don't look my age! I certainly don't feel oldish and still love going out and meeting new people. I love homemaking and have quite a few visitors from long standing friends dotted about the UK and abroad. I have moved around a lot and lived in California and Switzerland and France for short spells. All to do with my husband's job. I am always an optimist, although we all have good days, bad days and can't be bothered days! I am always ready for a new adventure in life, or new surroundings and people. I love good food and am keen on cooking. Also going out and finding a gem of a restaurant tucked away from the madding crowd. I am not a great joiner of clubs, though they have their place. I like to be organised, but not in a routine and mostly plan each day as it comes. I like holidays of interest and I like walking holidays, but only up to 8 miles a day now and probably not even everyday of the holiday. Has anyone been on an "Adagio" holiday? I have been recommended to go on one. They seem to be my sort of holiday. Small groups, interesting people, interesting itineraries and and good hotels. So that's it really.

I am looking for a good friend, who is kind and thoughtful of other people. Someone who has had a full life - maybe travelled a lot, had an interesting job, Intellegent (had a good education), and preferably likes an outdoors type of life. (might like gardening, rambling, nature) One never knows about relationships - sometimes you find a companion/friend who has interests entirely opposite to yours and yet you are attracted to each other. I like to live a reasonably healthy lifestyle and would be drawn to someone who was like minded. I am not interested in being married again, nor am I likely to move in with someone. I tried that once and it did not work, even though we had had a good relationship. So as I said, I am looking for a good companion/friend, with shared interests anywhere in the UK. If it becomes more than that, then we would have to work something out that suits us both. I am hoping that I meet someone special so old ageism doesn't matter too much.
