About her
I'm a fairly active person. I was once a keen sports participant, had my own horses, sailed and kept sheep. Now I enjoy travel, walking and gardening. For most of my life I've had a dog/s, but since my last Labrador died I have taken the opportunity to travel rather further afield for longer periods which I feel would be unfair on a dog. I am definitely not someone who enjoys watching sport from an armchair, although I do enjoy some TV and going to the cinema very occasionally. I keep active with my garden, the wildlife in it and I also like to visit Auctions, browse in Antiques Shops and go to Vide Greniers. I live in Finistere, France and have done so for around 20 years. I do, though, also have a house in Suffolk which I usually let in the summer for holidays and spend time there myself in the winter. It gives me the opportunity to see my family in comfort. I have a son and daughter and four grandsons.
I've never been someone with strict routines about what I'm doing at any one time, but the last 18 months have been a little restrictive to say the least. I moved house in Brittany shortly before the first lockdown. My planned adventure of doing a last renovation turned to a bit of a nightmare with the difficulty of finding trades and materials during all the restrictions. Things are gradually coming together now and, on reflection, having something to keep me busy at this time wasn't such a bad thing. Definitely the last time I take on a renovation project!
I am hoping to meet someone who would like a long term relationship, who enjoys the countryside, occasional meals out and having friends around. I am 'happy in my own skin,' don't need to be 'joined at the hip,' but hope for a partnership that enables us both to enjoy life to the full and have fun together. I really enjoy cooking, a glass or two of wine and having friends to visit.
