About her
When it comes to me, the saying "all the best things come in small packages" is certainly true. Get to know me and you’ll discover:
* a bubbly, confident personality jumping out of the box from the start
* a big yet sensitive heart that oozes warmth, love and affection
* tons of creativity that manifests itself in designing fun mechanical sculptures (automata), sewing all kinds of things, and working with wood (I built all the storage in my studio and have carved marionette puppets)
* a lover of detail and precision - critical as I work part-time teaching bookbinding and box-making
* a problem-solver, in her element dreaming up practical solutions to improve life - from modifications to my VW camper van to maximize storage for trips away or redesigning room interiors
* a passionate believer in good design and aesthetics, fuelled by regular visits to museums (V&A, Design Museum) galleries (RA), and exhibitions.
* an insatiable appetite for people-watching, preferably while enjoying good coffee in an Indie Cafe abroad.
* a competent chef, grabbing every opportunity to cook healthy meals from world cuisines to share with family, especially her three grown-up sons, and friends.
*a bit of a technophile that also wears an eco-warrior/greenie hat but NOT a veggie, hippie or tree-hugger!
The package is maintained to the highest standard with daily dog walks, regular e-cycling, 5k runs (jogs?), and wild swims when the weather permits. Keeping fit means I can still enjoy skiing holidays but I have hung up my climbing shoes and sold my Laser 1 dingy. However, I have kept my Oillies and life jacket, ready to crew. While I have ticked off The Fastnet, a flotilla holiday or bare-boating with a yacht master in the Mediterranean sunshine is just one of many things still on my bucket list!
As for the packaging - always clean, tidy and sweet smelling. Usually casually presented with a natural, relaxed look. Replacements wrapping available from White Stuff/FatFace and Sea Salt. Can be dressed up to sparkle for special occasions.
About her ideal match
A kind, intelligent man who is not only young at heart but also has a big heart (aka romantic/emotionally intelligent). Well-educated, about the same age as me, and someone who appreciates good design. 100% honest, trustworthy, caring, and with a confident, practical can-do attitude to life.
My ideal match would be equally at home chilling out at a music festival or being a bit of a culture vulture at the theatre/a gallery or exhibition. Content to while away a wet day in a camper van snuggled up together to read a good novel, play a game or pour over holiday brochures to plan a getaway to hotter climes, while the rain splatters against the windscreen. Yet adventurous enough to brave a beach walk in a storm to watch the crashing waves, get soaked to the skin and still enjoy it. Happy to rough it wild camping, sitting around the fire pit to eat burnt sausages and toast marshmallows while gazing at stars but also keen to occasionally splash out on a foreign city break in a boutique hotel to discover the culture, enjoy a bit of retail therapy, and sample the local cuisine.
A love of dogs, fit enough to enjoy long walks to the tops of hills, and an interest in making things would make us more likely to be a match. Beer bellies, tattoos, body piercings, heavy drinking and smoking would all be deal-breakers. O'h and no Brexiteers, luddites or gents who have already donned their pipe and slippers.
