I am un unexpected widower, active with plans for travel not realized, and a life suddenly empty. I am not a mad sportsman but enjoy golf and walking (randonnes) and exploring all sorts of archeological and tourist sites. I have a house in France and am a resident of France and Europe. My French is getting better and it will need to in the future. I am healthy (I hope) and realize I am not young but want to enjoy what is left and be with someone who wants company as well. I enjoy intellectual and political pursuits including local history and politics. I am a member of the U.K. Labour Party, and Royal society of chemistry. I love gardening and hope to be able to continue and also visit gardens around the world. I liked visiting such places with my wives (I have been widowed twice) and would welcome having a companion to do the same .I do have a sense of humour, and keep a file of jokes(only joking)

A woman who is seeking an active life, interested in travel,gardening and probably intellectual pursuits (even crosswords) reading, art and visiting new cities and galleries etc. I also like my own area and garden, visiting my family and hers, and the grandchildren etc. My last wife was in a large choir, which before the virus put on many public performances in France and also in America. The person would have a professional background most likely and maybe in management or politics.
