About him
I am a quiet, friendly person with a good sense of humour, fully fit and active, now retired from a very enjoyable job where I managed historical records and archives. Nowadays I live on my own in peaceful countryside near the Malverns but maintain connections with the Sutton Coldfield area which I visit regularly. In the past I have enjoyed travelling abroad, including many walking holidays, and look forward to exploring parts of Britain and Europe I have not seen, preferably with a like-minded companion. In my spare time I sing in and help to run an amateur classical choir and and I also undertake regular church duties. I have several other interests including local and family history and I am fairly proficient at DIY.
I am fond of most animals, especially cats, and enjoy eating out in pubs and restaurants.

I am looking for a sympathetic lady companion with a similar level of education to myself who is socially confident, fun to be with, affectionate and supportive, able to share some of my interests and possibly introduce me to some new ones. An interest in gardening or cookery would be a bonus and help fill some gaps in my knowledge. Preferably slightly right of centre politically but I'm fairly flexible about religion as long as they are not hostile towards my church activities.
