About her
It’s quite hard to say why people should get to me, I could just say because I’m a nice person, but that’s no help to anyone stopping by to read my profile. So here goes . .
I’m retired, widowed, and with time to spare to travel and explore the world . . .there are many places to visit still on my bucket list. I’m quite adventurous, but also home loving, and am a bit of country girl at heart. I’m an ‘average’ cook who like’s a drop of wine to wash my ‘average’ food down.
Until last year I lived in SW France for a few years, which may account for the love of wine. My French is not great, but I do okay.
I love all things historical, ( maybe it’s an age thing !) and dabble a bit in genealogy.
I’m quite eclectic in my choice of music, from a bit of the classics, rock, pop, and musical theatre.
Until a couple of years ago I did a bit of scuba diving, and Ceroc dancing, which I’d like to do again having now moved back in the UK.
I’m not religious or very woke, but I do respect other peoples beliefs so long as I’m respected for mine. I think I’m reasonably intelligent and can hold a conversation with most folk.
I’m quite a romantic at heart, so love to be spoilt and to spoil my partner.
I love most animals, although all my previous dogs and cats have now all passed .
And all rest you’ll have to find out for yourself, if you take up the baton . . .

My ideal match is not easy to define, so I’ll generalise in the hope of getting close . .
I would like him to be honest, faithful, funny, romantic, intelligent ( but not stuffy ) . . .own hair, teeth and mind are always a bonus !
Someone who wants to explore the world before we’re too old . ..
No ‘carpet slippers or pipe ‘ man for me, although a night in with a good film is always nice.
And as I’m an average cook, a man who can also cook sometimes would be great too . . .
Quite a short list really, because it’s only when you meet someone and there is a chemistry, that you know they are ( or have the potential ) to be the “ideal” partner
