I can be quite chatty and animated with the right person but I am a good listener and considerate of others' feelings. I'm friendly and interested in other folks' lives and experiences. I love the countryside, not so much cities and concrete. I was widowed 3 years ago and miss not getting out and about a bit - it's not much fun doing stuff on your own, evebn if it's just going out for a coffee. Rain or shine my dog and I have our early morning walk and I keep mobile exercising every day - courtesy of YouTube! I (oil) paint usually landscapes, I like to garden, and I recently bought a piano length keyboard and amuse myself attempting to master basics. I do Luminosity daily. We used to enjoy small dinner parties (bit old-fashioned these days perhaps) and we played a lot of Bridge. I've lived an outdoor life of horses, teaching and riding, which age sadly has put an end to. I am blessed with a lovely house and garden both of which keep me busy. In my profile, where I've put "ask me later" it's because there is no black and white answer to give. Some of the questions are impossible!

My ideal match would be an educated gentleman with personality and a ready smile, able to have a shared interesting/lively conversation. An added bonus would be if he had a creative bent. He would ideally live near enough to meet up easily but maybe an online friendship if distance ruled out regular meet ups. Someone who doesn't rely on the television for entertainment. I'm sorry to say that not being able to accept my dog would be a deal breaker.
