About her
Love to talk and hear other people's life experiences. Although I am now retired, I think I have had a varied career and been lucky enough to have always enjoyed it. Starting off as an Art and English teacher, I moved into publishing as a copywriter. This lead into to being an editor, meeting all kinds of people and lots of travel. During motherhood years, I retrained as a Complementary Therapist and eventually returned to University to study Nutrition and Biochemistry. Still passionate about natural ways to heal and friends often ask for advice!
I love reading, watching dramas, beaches and have recently started to paint and draw again ( but without much confidence!).
I have always had a dog but have not got one at the moment.
Sadly, my walking is a little limited now due to an adverse reaction to the first Covid vaccine; but a friendly arm to lean on makes a huge difference! I love beaches and can watch the sea for hours. The sights and sounds of a forest is also wonderful.
I am not a group person, as I find 1-1 conversations more interesting.
My small family are incredibly important to me, so I would be looking for similar
values in future contacts.
My closest friends are all scattered round the country now. And whilst we enjoy long phone calls every week, I do miss having someone to go for walks/have coffee in seaside cafes with or just watch a drama with and discuss afterwards.
A famous personality was once asked what she missed most after losing her husband. She replied, "just having someone to be silent with". That's how I feel too.
