About him
I am a relaxed individual with a successful career in Engineering (still working) who is not driven by image or labels but values good conversation and humour. I am an individual with a good sense of humour and caring attitude and with the right person give my all. I do not carry any emotional baggage on a personal or other basis just two great adult daughters along with dogs. My girls live with me but I lead my own life, as they do. They are both at studying at London Universities and have plans next year to find there own space. I do a lot of walking and looking to restart my younger days passion of sailing, having now purchased a 30 foot sailing boat which is a mini project. I have an interest in multiple subjects ranging from sport, gardening, nature and history as well as continuing to travel, when possible. I have been lucky to travel to several locations, mainly during my time in the RN.
I also undertake DIY projects and enjoy challenges and converting ideas into reality.. I also have property in SW France with a vague plan to retire there in a few years, but this is not fixed and happy to change direction, should I meet the right person. Although new to this dating scene, I believe I have much to offer, should I meet the right person. As I approach retirement I am open to any suitable change in direction of life and happy to adapt accordingly.

Ideally an individual who has a broad conversation and a sense of humour who is well grounded and enjoys travelling and having fun. But at the same time is able to enjoy an evening meal, social drink or the theatre (other types of shows also included such as comedy). I enjoy being able to share my thoughts and being with somebody who encourages better things for me such as fitness or career for example or to try something new, which I would love to be part of and would love to reciprocate when appropriate.
