About him
Hello there!
Retired early, after many years working in IT, and moved to the country. I bought a “fixer-upper” bungalow in a village so learning to use my hands, for things other than typing. Working my way through the house trying to do most of the work myself, watching YouTube videos on how it is done properly.
I am involved in the local village hall as the treasurer and contribute to the hall fund raising events. I also participate in table tennis and short mat bowls a couple evenings a week at the hall.
I’m a passionate foodie and like playing with food toys and creating recipes. Currently, writing my second cookbook that explores wheat free and sugar free baking to satisfy my sweet tooth without expanding my waist.
Walking clears my head and burns some calories so I try to go every day. I cycle when the weather permits whilst dodging the tractors on the country lanes.
To finish the retirement cliché lifestyle I am reviving my pottery skills from university days by working with a local potter one morning a week.
