Oh dear, can I pad my life out to at least twenty words?
I'm from Glasgow originally. I did an honours degree in physics up there before moving down to Swindon in 1979. I've worked with various companies over the years in semiconductors, eventually specialising in software development. I retired around three years ago, though I recently did a bit of contract work doing technical interviewing.
I've always been pretty sporty - I have a brown belt in karate, a yellow belt in Jiu Jitsu and play squash - I even used to be able to skate backwards! I've continued sportiness into retirement and spend a lot of time in the gym, now that I have so much free time!
What an I looking for? Someone with a good sense of humour (mine is dry and sarcastic) who would like to travel. I always intended to do a lot of travelling once I retired - but it's no fun on your own! I recently acquired an Irish passport which I'm keen to try out!

It would consist of a wooden stick with a red head which when dragged along a rough surface would ignite, Other head colours are acceptable ;-)
