About him
I am a widower who is very active and healthy (touch wood). I love walking (with my three year old Sproodle, Caz), cooking, going out to the theatre and cinema. I love music so I like to go dancing (disco rather than ballroom), music concerts (I recently saw Bruce Springsteen and Eric Clapton), and ballet.
I am keen on some sports, including rugby and football - sometimes I go to watch Southampton. I am also keen on keeping fit, and I go to the gym as well as yoga.
On the other hand, I also like cooking dinner for someone, watching TV, playing games (e.g. chess), and sociable quiet evenings.
I enjoy travelling and seeing new places. I am quite adventurous, and like to try new experiences (for example, over the last couple of years I have done sky diving, paragliding, and trying to walk up Mount Kilimanjaro - although I didn't quite make it).
Friends would describe me as energetic, adventurous, positive, helpful and caring, with a good sense of humour. They say I definitely seem younger than my age!
I have three grown up children and one grandson, George, who I adore.
