Describing yourself is never easy, but I guess you have to give people some idea of who you are & what it is your hoping to find in a companion/friend,
Having spent 47 wonderful years with my late wife I now find myself single again, however I see this as a new chapter In my life, an opportunity to meet new friends, my wife & I spent many years holidaying mainly in Europe, as well as Cruising from time to time, but more recently short breaks throughout the uk & when not doing that we spent a few days a week out & about, walking lunching out or just a simple visit to a coffee shop, these are the things I miss most, something I would love to share with a lady who would enjoy a similar experience.
I remain optimistic about the future as well as having a very positive approach to life, I’m looking for a lady who would like to share the things that I enjoy most. I’m not lonely as I have many close friends who continue to invite me to our get togethers, but they are all couples so for those of you who are in the same position then need I say more.
Initially I would like a relationship to be on a friendship basis which could develop into something more, I’ve no doubt ladies will look at my profile & find something that may not quite fill their requirements but whilst on paper that may be the case you will never know until you perhaps make that contact & who knows be pleasantly surprised.
I see myself being a kind & considerate person, smart & very sociable, my employment background is in finance, however I have been retired now for a few years so spend my time with many interests such as Gardening Walking Dining out Badminton & Photography, to name but a few.

As I said previously I would like to meet a lady who enjoys a few of the things that I enjoy, but prefer a smartly dressed lady who likes the nicer things in life, hopefully someone who would be prepared to at least spend an afternoon enjoying a walk coffee or may be lunch, but if afterwards they find I’m not quite what they seek then that’s fine, I realise that we are all unique in our own way & that we all have different preferences but at least you’ve given it a try.
