About her
Having belatedly discovered the pleasure of reading classic literature, I would now like to reguarly chat with someone about books we have each read, in the past and currently. My list of books to read was drawn from, amongst others, the Guardian's '1000 Novels Everyone Must Read' although the list reguarly changes as I add more recent novels. Favourite read so far this year has been 'Clear Light of Day' by Anita Desai.
Other things that lift my spirits include walks outdoors, being creative and just sitting in a cafe. Health problems - specifically Fibromyalgia symptoms - mean that I do not experience some of the interests as much as I want to, such as seeing live music (and I have an ambitious dream to take up dinghy sailing!) but I am working hard on this, having done a pain management course.
I laugh easily - being dyspraxic, often at my own confusions! - value kindness and like to encourage others.
