Enjoying the freedom that retirement brings and lucky to be part of a close-knit family - I am in regular contact with two sisters.
I like to keep active – whether that’s outdoor walks or indoor pursuits like bridge and music. I still enjoy playing golf and bowls regularly, and I’m happiest spending summers in the UK and making the most of winter and spring with trips abroad. Life’s still full of interest and adventure.
I think it’s important to be open so I feel I should mention from the start that I’ve been married for many years, but my wife has lived in a care home with Alzheimer’s and dementia since 2024. It’s a very sad chapter, but one I face with acceptance and compassion. I'm at peace with it and now I’m hoping to find companionship and a meaningful connection with someone who values friendship, laughter, and the everyday joys of life.
