About her
Warm, affectionate, a little quirky, and good company — or so I’m told. I love good conversation, whether it’s full of wit and mischief or that easy, comfortable quiet between two people.
I’m a retired architect (UCL alum), keeping my mind busy with Wordle, bridge, and a spirited attempt at Italian. I live in London and spend many happy hours at my arts club or getting lost in exhibitions.
Thrillers, spy novels, and a good heist film are favourites. I’ve read most of John le Carré and recently discovered David McCloskey. I once worked on some rather interesting projects — including the MI6 headquarters — but that’s a story better told over a drink.
I grew up sailing the South China Sea, could mix a pink gin at ten, and have always loved being near water. Now, I dream of a little place in Villefranche-sur-Mer or Venice, but for now my Labrador and I make do with walks along the Thames.

I’d love to meet someone kind, curious, and spirited — someone who shares some interests or can introduce me to new ones. Intelligence, warmth, and a dry sense of humour will always catch my eye.
How eloquently people write about themselves, the art of the pen, how intelligence shines through, appeals to me more than looks. Next would be the sound and timbre of someone’s voice.
