About him
After a long 50+ and happy marriage, and raising a daughter I found myself flying solo as it were for the first time in my life after my wife died, 4 years ago.
In my late forties an opportunity arose to rethink my life. I decided to develop the creative side of my personality and trained to become a full time wood carver and leather crafts man. Becoming the oldest hippy in the village minus the hair.
Since my wife died I have become a bit of a lone.
My active life and serious sporting early life, has physically taken its toll. So reluctantly I have retired, although I still follow my crafts with a passion.
I try to be open minded and am open to new ideas and activities .
I have no time for closed minds or narrow mindedness.
Am I a half full or half empty sort of person. In truth bit of both. I take folks at face value but have been disappointed in the past.

The person I could relate to would be equally independent with a strong sense of humour. They would have to be comfortable in their own skin and confident by nature, feeling there is still more to come.
I have no preconceived ideas about age , looks or education. As you can see in my photo, I am no Adonis or body beautiful. Intelligence, Kindness, tolerance, and honesty are the only real qualities that make the recipe for someone to become special.
