Hi there! I'm new to this, so not really sure what to write, but hey! here goes! I'm retired, absolutely love travel, food & wine, books, movies, my daughter, son-in-law, grandson and cat (not necessarily in that order!). This is all we get, it's not a rehearsal, and I think we should take the opportunities that come our way. I've been very lucky so far, I have good friends, and a wonderful family, and I've had some wonderful experiences, but it would be nice to have someone to laugh with, talk with, and who knows what else. I'm the glass half full kind, I'd rather laugh than cry (not necessarily applicable with certain movies!), and I always cook too much food for one!!

My ideal match - wow, that's definitely the $64,000 question! I'd like to meet someone who's thoughtful, intelligent, and enjoys good conversation. It would be great if he enjoyed some, if not all, of the things that I do. I enjoy the road less travelled (Uzbekistan was amazing!!), so would like someone with a sense of adventure, as well as a sense of humour. A love of good food and good wine would be a plus - so a knowledge of good pubs/restaurants with decent wine cellars would be useful! I guess I'd really like someone who enjoys life, can laugh at themselves and has a sense of the ridiculous!
