About her
I'm a real mix of different facets and contradictions which I guess is true for most of us.
I'm socially confident, self-assured, pragmatic, easy going, fun loving and sensitive. I possess a witty, and often dry, sense of humour and love to cook. I also appreciate good food, wine and intelligent conversation but I'm far from a foodie. I'm sincere, honest, a good listener and pretty self-aware. I also possess the emotional intelligent to articulate my needs and feelings.
On the other hand though I am quite independent, forthright, feisty and can even be a tad stubborn at times but non of us are perfect are we ?
To date I've led a very varied and interesting life and I'm lucky enough to enjoy good health and the luxury of no longer having to work unless I choose to .
I enjoy eating out, attending live theatre and concerts, the cinema, walking, swimming and the odd visit to the gym !
My taste in music is quite eclectic and I've seen many major artists live but to see Andrea Bocelli in the open air theatre in Tuscany is still on my wish list. I’m a member of the National Trust and love visiting their properties and gardens. I'm pretty well travelled but hope to do more, especially exploring this wonderful country of ours but I equally love the comforts of home, pottering about and quiet evenings in.
Family and friends are extremely important to me ( including my ex ! ) so it would be great to find someone who shares, and embraces, these values.
I retired early in 2011 and initially took some time out but boredom set in and I now do some PT work working with families whose children are in local authority care.
I have a wonderful daughter who married in 2016 and has made me a grandma twice over now and I love time spent with them. I've recently downsized which created some really mixed emotions for me but I’m hoping a new chapter now awaits.

My ideal match would be someone with a strong character, decisive and his own man yet kind, caring and compassionate. Someone who knows his own strengths and weaknesses and is emotionally, as well as intellectually intelligent. A wicked sense of humour and fun is also really important so we could laugh at ourselves,and the world in general, together. He would be loyal, honest and have integrity so we could build a relationship based on mutual respect, trust and understanding to face life's ups and downs. In fact someone who shares my quite traditional values but who is also in touch with his emotions and feminine side....I know quite a tall order !
