About her
I'm warm hearted, unaffected and open to new experiences. I enjoy walking and I'm lucky to have the Peak District nearby. I lost my partner some years ago and my work brought me up North to this very different location. I enjoy exploring new areas and meeting new people, and it won't be that long before I can ease down to retirement and have more time to enjoy life.
I have a good relationship with my two children who are both in their twenties. I'm happy to watch football with my son or go along to my daughter's musical performances but increasingly they have their own lives to lead, so this is part of my plan to rebuild mine.
I love exploring the Peak District and I find the local geology and history fascinating. One of my other interests is in art and I try to fit in visits to galleries wherever I go. I've recently been researching family history and I'm lucky to have a wealth of material to sort through in my spare time. I'm not very well travelled outside Europe and the US though and hope to remedy that with a suitable companion before long.

I would enjoy the company of a male friend who has a good sense of humour and is confident, kind, active and enjoys the countryside - someone who, like me, doesn't want to rush things too much.
As I am still working part-time, he may do some work too - if there is anyone out there of about my age who hasn't retired yet!
