About her
I am very new to this and a bit nervous. I am intelligent, perceptive, creative, caring, daring and looking for someone with whom I can enjoy shared smiles and interests, explore places and learn/experience new things. Friends would probably be surprised to know that I have signed up on Saga - isn't that for old and boring people? I am considered calm, social, well-connected, presentable, articulate, successful and comfortable with the person I have become. I have had an amazing life to date - lived and worked around the world but am now based in London, where I work. I am a funny mix of town and country - happy casting a fly for a brownie (with a bottle of Chablis chilling in the shallows); content to walk on the wildside, while recognising the plants and wildlife, before sinking a pint at a pub; curling up with a cat on my knee and a good book; cheering on at Twickenham or clapping at Lords; waiting for chestnuts gleaned from a wood to roast on the fire; or appreciating a new play/ballet/opera/film; letting my hair down at concert or perhaps pinning it up for another; visiting a gallery or private viewing; sampling an up-and-coming chef's latest cuisine, sharing the joys of taste-tingling street food or dining in Michelin splendour. I enjoy cooking. Some might say I'm deep - I'm a qualified rescue diver and well travelled. I confess to being an aspiring polymath who loves variety. However, I am also down-to-earth, loyal, loving and protective and I confess to not being very tidy. I have 2 children who are wonderful (but I would say that, I'm their mother) - they are young adults now, but we still enjoy doing things together; in particular travel, theatre, food and having a debate or a laugh. I am involved in various charities/not for profit work/environmental matters in addition to my day job. I am also an urban beekeeper, but don't personally believe in being queen bee or hanging around with drones.
