I seem to be hurling myself through my 70's at a rate that I'm not happy about!!! I'm settled down in my new house for over a year now. I'm happily retired (don't know how I had time to work), and enjoying doing things "at the drop of a hat". It's fantastic to look at the weather and the traffic and just head off into the blue when I feel like it. Or even jump on a plane to somewhere exotic and interesting. It would be even more fantastic if I had a companion and soul mate with me. P.S. Stopped smoking January (2015), and I am SO GLAD!!! What a relief not to think about when I can have my next cigarette, let alone the expense!!!!!!!!!

Ballet, Opera, Rock & Pop (including some of the latest stuff), theatre, concerts of pretty much any kind, stimulating conversation, animals, walking, cinema, Bridge, Photography, PCs & the Internet, DIY (which I'm reasonably good at), dining in or out, cooking (which I'm not bad at), good quality red wine and proper British beer, swimming, the gym (well, I don't love the gym, but I'm told it does me good!!!!) and just enjoying myself. Really enjoy seeing my children and grandchildren, plus meeting up with friends.
Hate:
Bad manners, swearing, untruthful people, freeloaders, reality shows (and most TV these days!!!), bad drivers (who doesn't!!!), antisocial behaviour, poor service, all-inclusive beach only holidays.

I would love to meet a lady who enjoys some of the things that I do. But I'm very happy to try something new as well. Someone who doesn't think that a holiday is heading off to the East coast of Spain or Majorca/Tenerife et al, getting too much sun tan, and thinks that an "all-inclusive" is a good excuse for overloading on the food and drink. A lady who is in reasonable shape, as I have to admit to not liking overweight people. A lady who is retired, semi-retired or about to join the throng of us busy retirees!! A lady who is looking for a short or preferably long term relationship, which for me includes good friends, as well as the hope of something more. A lady who enjoys both being active, and just sitting on the sofa having a good chat, cuddle or watching a DVD over a nice glass of wine.
