About her
I worked beyond my "expected" retirement age but have now been retired for a number of years and I am thoroughly enjoying the new opportunities opening up to me.
I am an ardent music fan - pop, blues, jazz, classical, folk, country, brass bands - and love to go to live events. Over the years I have attempted to play various instruments but have reached the sad conclusion that although I love music I am never going to be a musician!
I am an animal lover and support a local hedgehog rescue. Since my retirement I have shared my home with a lovable little pooch. She keeps me on my toes and makes me smile.
My other interests include theatre, local history, creative writing,choir, cooking/baking, nature and keeping abreast of what's going on in the world
I take an optimistic approach to life and have a sense of humour and fun (recognise the profile headline?). Still looking "on the bright side of life" and hoping to find someone to share the fun times and laughter with.

I am not looking for Mr Perfect, that would be boring! Probably more on the lines of a Knight in slightly tarnished armour! One who knows his way around the kitchen, is interested in what's going on in the world around him and has a caring, fair minded attitude, would be a bonus.
However, experience has shown me that having a definitive list of must be/ must haves, means that I could miss out on meeting some very interesting people. Are you one of them?
