I like to travel,I enjoy history, reading, DIY and good food, I am a reliable, helpful man to know, a man of action when required, I can take a while to completely relax with new people.
Originally from London, Islington and moved to Devon in 1987. I am retired now and my children are settled, I would like to get out more often and meet new people and see more of the historical sites in this country. Have helped both kids through university and can now afford to travel and spread my wings a bit wider. I have a big interest in the first world war and visit Belgium and northern France as often as I can.

I would like to meet someone cheerful, outgoing and positive who will chivvy me along when its needed, but who can relax and talk or enjoy a quiet evening with a book.
It would be wonderful to find someone who would like to travel to see places of interest and not sit on a beach all day.
I particularly like Greek and Italian food and really want to see Rome while I am still fit enough.
