About her
I enjoy life, good food, cooking, pottering in the garden (I used to enjoy much more than that), reading and country strolls (but not marathons). Travel is fun, in good company. I prefer to keep my travel relatively stress free and don't go in for lots of planning and organised activities. I'm not a lover of beach holidays and I certainly don't worship the sun, although I love its' warmth. Nothing quite like sitting on a sun kissed terrace in good company with a glass of wine. I'd love to meet someone with an enquiring mind, who enjoys conversation and debate but who is comfortable also with silence. Someone who enjoys the theatre (not necessarily anywhere smart), visiting antiques fairs and local auctions and markets, the cinema and having the occasional pub lunch. I enjoy a glass of good wine (or three), entertaining friends for meals and lazy Sundays.
I have 2 children, each settled with their own families, I love them dearly but am not expected, or want, to provide childcare. I do, however, like them to know they can call on me if they're in difficulty and I enjoy time with them. In the past I have enjoyed sailing, kept horses and loved riding, kept sheep and usually had a couple of dogs. I still love animals but am sadly between dogs at present. Since finding I fall harder than I did, I have given up riding.
Most of all I should like to have in my life someone to love and laugh with; someone who's here for the long term and whom I can love, respect and build memories with. d be fun to share some of their interests. I don't want or need to 'sit in someone's pocket,' I'm comfortable in my own skin so don't expect or want to be 'joined at the hip.'
I have spent a long time living in France, I still have a house there and visit often.
I'm looking for a happy, gentle but, maybe, mildly adventurous life where I can give and receive love with total confidence. There are still things I want to do and places I'd like to see and I should like so much to meet someone to share life with.

He should be someone looking for a long term loving friendship, and hopefully much more. It would be wonderful to be with someone who is light hearted, enjoys conversation, good food, wine, travel, the occasional outing to the theatre, cinema, pub/restaurant, maybe a local auction - and he may have interests beyond these that I can share. I'm not someone who craves a busy social life, but someone to share life and laughter with would be wonderful. I'm easy going and relaxed and those are qualities I value in other people, as are loyalty and truthfulness. I'd love to find someone who is seeking a long term loving relationship, who wants to hold hands, share laughter, have fun and cuddles and with whom I can feel at one. I don't want a life of frenetic activity, just one shared with someone with integrity, who is caring, happy and affectionate (and, who knows, maybe a little more).
