About her
My long career has been spent as a manager in local and central government in the fields of human resource development, training design and delivery, organisational strategy development and change management with many years following early retirement working in diverse public service departments as a freelance consultant. I'm a fairly serious and reflective person but with an underlying witty sense of humour and a keen observer of life, people and places. My friends say they can't keep up with me as I have moved around renovating houses quite a bit in recent years especially, living in the houses whilst renovating as well as being a student landlord for several years. I've moved from South London / Kent to Somerset and am now in the Scottish Borders near the coast but with my eye on moving nearer to Edinburgh or perhaps another Scottish city as none too sure village life is for me forever. I've often been described as 'brave' as a consequence. I'm hard working, creative, organised and resourceful. I like up-cycling furniture, painting and many crafts as well as wandering round boot fairs, antique fairs and auctions. I'm an organised and tidy person and don't like to hoard stuff at all which is a bit at odds with some of my interests, another of which is writing. I love being outdoors, seem to undertake far too much extreme gardening rather than gentle garden potting and pottering and am keen to get a poly tunnel soon as growing veg here seems pretty challenging. I enjoy being in cities and going to galleries, exhibitions , historic buildings etc. I keep hens and have a great dog, enjoy photography, jewellery making , art work ( I was at art school in my youth) , furniture restoration for self , family and for sale purposes and generally being creative. I also enjoy cooking and baking.

I'd love to meet a man who, like me has had a professional career . or perhaps is currently engaged in some creative capacity as it'd be great to have a creative friend to share ideas with. It would be nice too if he enjoyed the great outdoors and enjoyed exploring new places. Intelligence, honesty, sensitivity, good communication skills and a few shared interests are mission critical. My ideal best friend/ partner would also, of course also be looking to share his life with a new best friend , someone intelligent , creative , kind and supportive as myself. I am a good listener having worked as a life coach and qualified counsellor for several years.
