Hi, I’m new to this but here we go....
I’m described by my close friends as fun to be with, having a good sense of humour and being very caring.
I will try most things at least once and enjoy meeting new people.
I love to socialise and especially love to travel; I enjoy going to new places, but there are still many more on the ‘to do list’.
Having retired I’m now free to go without any restraints.
I’ve been a ward volunteer at my local hospice for 11 years and since retiring I have also become an Ambassador for the hospice. One highlight was representing the hospice at a charity book signing event and sharing the stage with guest speaker Sir Alex Ferguson.
I recently celebrated my big 60 in lockdown but I was able to visit Chester Zoo, not quite the planned safari in Tanzania that I should have been on, but at least I saw animals!
I really enjoy my adult Irish Dancing classes, it’s a great way to keep fit and a good excuse for socialising.
I could write more but it would be nicer to chat over a drink or a coffee.
