I am a retired university lecturer, good listener and conversationalist, courteous, open and honest. Long term (25 years +) legally separated - not divorced for pension reasons, have shaky left hand due to ealy Parkinson's but this doesn't stop me driving, walking, gardening an allotment with a mini-vineyard, cycling off-road trails, spinning at the gym, etc. Also enjoy cooking especially for a lady friend, theatre and cinema, reading and relaxing with a good dvd and glass of wine. Community orientated as am secretary of allotment association and also edit quarterly magazine of local narrow gauge railway group.
About his ideal match
This is an impossible question to answer until one meets someone who appeals in looks and character. Could be from 5' to my height of about 5'7", slim to average build, difficult to be specific about looks as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The lady must be interesting, well read and aware of what's going on around us politically, socially and in nature to be sure that conversation flows easily. A good sense of humour is essential. There must be a blending of minds with give and take on both sides. Non-smoker a must and no yappy little dogs.
