About her
My husband died recently. I am looking for companionship first of all. I'd like to meet a kindred spirit, but friendship comes first. Maybe just someone to talk to, maybe someone to meet. I have a lot of positives - cooking, conversation - listening more than talking, writing, thinking; I'm kind and generous by nature. I also have flaws. I can be intolerant of people who I think are small minded, who don't enjoy long intelligent conversations and especially those who are prejudiced in any way. Some see me as eccentric or quirky, largely a consequence of working alone for most of my career. I love to laugh.
My dogs are a big part of my life, but not the only part. I enjoy long walks.
I love travelling, there are a few bits of the world I haven't yet seen and hope to see in the next 10 years or so. I've always wanted to drive the entire Silk Road, but right now it's not safe.
I enjoy meals out - dim sum, Asian, good hamburgers, fine dining, but I also love to cook good food at home.
I don't watch a lot of TV, I read a lot, all sorts of books, fiction and non-fiction.
