About her
My life so far has been unconventional to the extent that I am childless by choice, and haven't had a fixed career path. I have travelled quite a bit, though in recent years I have acquired a home of my own and settled down. I do work which interests me but doesn't take over my life.
I have a small circle of good friends. I think they might describe me as “quirky”. I have a few nerdy traits, such as enjoying using computers and being a fan of Star Trek. However to counter that, I have never dressed up as a Klingon and don't have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the every Star Trek episode, so not a in-depth Star Trek nerd!
I have considered getting involved in a re-enactment groups or creating a Steampunk persona but perhaps I've held back because I feel it would be much more fun to do with another enthusiast.
I enjoy being outdoors or chilling at home, and mostly prefer comfort over style. But I like to put on a party frock from time to time. I am creative and enjoy watching creative activities like plays, or a gallery. I also like being creative as a photographer and singing (badly) sometimes. I love music. Especially unusual or unexpected kinds, like the Kora or Qawwali singing, for example. I'm also keen on Richard Thompson, Pink Floyd, and the music of Mozart and Bach. Yeah, a bit of all sorts :D
About her ideal match
I believe my life would be enhanced by the presence of someone who shared some of my interests and also had a few of their own that they'd like to share with me, plus some they keep for themselves. I think it's good to do things together and separately.
I would say my emphasis is on affection and stimulating conversation, rather than finding a "grande passion".
It would be lovely to find someone who in time would like to share holidays and some weekends together.
A perfect day out may be a drive to the Dales or the Lakes and a hike up one of the smaller mountains, followed by a tasty meal somewhere small and quiet. An alternative would be a meal in a city centre location, followed by a play, a classical concert or sitting in a corner of a venue listening to live jazz.
I don't drink, so would prefer a fellow non drinker or at most a very occasional drinker.
