I am a pensive quiet individual with a very strong personal outlook in life, and not a keen follower of the status quo. I tend to stray from the herd when I think they’re heading in the wrong direction. When my wife died from cancer two years ago, it was a hard call at this sort of age. But for the sake of my children and grandchildren, I knew I had to stay strong, battling against the odds of loss and sadness, and seeking to find a way, a life that would help create a peace of mind and hope, for what’s left of my life

I am looking for friendship, with hope for a lasting relationship. I realise this is not something you can buy from a shop, but is created from given elements. I am aware there is some way to go before I find the ideal partner, but also concede that we are not all perfect and that some way along the line, we may both need to barter some of these imperfections between us. I am a slim, fit and healthy person, always active and with a lot to offer. My wife has also always been a slim, fit and healthy woman before her illness. Similar qualities in my potential partner would be a bonus.
