About him
I will begin by explaining my silly user name. It is the name of the rabbit we had and my year of birth. I will remember it. I was born in Greenwich and when I was six weeks old my parents took me to live in the North East. They did not consult me about this but it worked out well.
Why am I here? Well I have been living on my own but not lonely for thirteen years since my wife died. It is time to find a special lady to share experiences and interests with and hopefully she will share her interests with me.
You will see from my profile I am not a big bloke so if that is what you wish stop reading now, I do have a big heart though. I think I am thoughtful, caring and romantic and I believe I still have something to offer.
I studied Art, History and Education and trained as a teacher spending many years working with children who had special needs. I left teaching to become a carer for my wife.
I keep up with my art, nothing outrageous. I enjoy walking but not for the sake of it. I was supposed to walk the last 100k of the Camino this June. It was cancelled because my travelling companion became ill. It is rescheduled for September. It has already been cancelled twice for obvious reasons, at this rate I will walk it with a Zimmer frame. I have now walked it. A wonderful experience worth waiting for. I like to explore along the way. Gardening is another interest and cooking. I have always made a point of cooking for myself. Not Masterchef standard but I am still here. Three of my best investments were joining the National Trust, English Heritage and Historic Houses. No excuse for not getting out and doing something.
I will take more photos. I am not photogenic. It's a good job photography is digital, it would cost me a fortune to get two decent ones in the old days.
That is me in a nutshell. There is obviously more but must have something to talk about if we meet.

I would like to meet a lady who will share her interests with me and will share my interests. As I said before, teach me something. A romantic who enjoys walking hand in hand with her partner. A lady interested in day trips out and exploring. Am I asking too much?
