I hope I have much to offer to, as well as gain from, a new relationship.
I'm happy with my life but certainly have room to grow, to build new experiences and develop interests. I'd certainly value more male company, hence taking the step of joining SD.
Friends say I’m lively, outgoing, loyal, honest, and thoughtful, with a good sense of humour. I enjoy the arts, particularly drama, dance, music and, increasingly, films. My city centre location brings these to my doorstep. I also like the occasional coastal or countryside visit. I need to dance more: it makes me smile.
I’m mainly optimistic, with a dose of realism. I like to share ideas, and hear new viewpoints, and look forward to new and progressive ideas for the future while valuing the best of the past.

Who am I looking for: I’d like you to already share some of my interests, and possibly add a further dimension. I’m open to something new or to expanding my experiences beyond a superficial level, eg jazz, opera and motorbikes come to mind.

I became friends with Jo through a mutual love of music, theatre and the arts. In fact, at the time, we were both playing in a samba band! Since then, we've enjoyed countless trips to the theatre, to see live music (from classical to pop and pretty much everything in between), and to the odd festival. Jo also loves dance (watching and taking part) and going to the cinema, mainly at Manchester's independent cinemas. Manchester has such a lot to offer in terms of the arts and Jo makes the most of it.
All of Jo's many interests are reflected in her wide and diverse circle of friends of all ages. Whilst she has many friends, she always makes time for them. If I need advice on anything at all, Jo is the person that I'd go to. She is insightful and able to grasp situations in minutes. And the advice she gives me is always well thought out and clear.
One of the many things Jo enjoys is social events - meeting friends for a meal out, coffee and cake, or an evening drink. She is intelligent and has a wealth of knowledge about a variety of different subjects and it's always good to engage with her in a discussion, whether that be about the arts, travel, or politics. I think she would enjoy meeting someone who could match her intellectually.
Jo is very current - in her thinking, in her tastes, in her fashion sense. She beats me hands down on technology any day and I rather suspect this was her reason for travelling to Japan. She enjoys travelling, including weekends away (the Edinburgh Festival, a London theatre trip, etc.), and whilst she probably prefers to travel in comfort, she could be persuaded to camp for the right music festival.
Jo is a good friend to have - open, honest and direct, with a sense of fun and always open to new opportunities.
