About him
I'm a happy soul, love to smile but do tend to get distracted by sights and things especially when out walking, one of my loves. I have been told I'm a pretty good cook, well I haven't poisoned anyone yet and my friends come back for seconds although one of my favourite styles of cooking is lob it all in the slow cooker and see what happens.
I run a small training business that lets me travel a good deal usually to the States and Australia, and as I'm the boss I see no reason not to take some time to enjoy myself after the work is done by adding a few days to womble around wherever I am.
I do sometimes slip into teaching or lecturing mode when talking on my favourite subjects needing a pillow to the back of my head . I do have a tendency to look deeper into subjects and shout at the Radio 4 presenters when they miss what I think is obvious question. I do have a minor addiction, books, if something takes my fancy I'll happily spend hours in a bookshop finding something about it so I can learn.
I do like to keep learning and much prefer travelling and looking at sights than lying on a beach, even if I have a very good book with me. Having done some martial arts in the past I do like to watch competitions, there is a beauty in a well executed throw or move. I work out with some judo friends now and again and have my own weights as stress relief. I would like to try Tai Chi, once i can find an instructor nearby.
I'm not one for long stays in cities, even a few days in London for work gets me wishing for the peace of the Trans-Pennine Trail or wandering around the Yorkshire Sculpture Park looking as though I know what I'm seeing hehe. However I try and live by the idea of try anything once and take life in big chunks, moderation is for Monks.
I'm also ex RAF so have lots of stories, I can pull up a sandbag and witter on for hours

I'd like to meet someone who will happily call me a pillock when I'm blithely heading up the wrong garden path, or maybe go with me just to see where we might end up. A partner to travel and see new things or relive old trips and point out things I miss, and smile when I show something new and maybe vaguely interesting. Someone to be friends with, both mentally physically and spiritually as we smile watching the sunset together or giggle as we decide play wrestle to decide who's going to make the coffee (me again?). If it goes deeper then wonderful although that would be new ground for me. Someone I can share my good fortune and experiences with as we have new ones of our own to enjoy
If we are geographically distant then that is not a great problem, but we would both have to be willing to travel to the other, and it makes pooping over for a coffee to require a good coffee at least.
If I look at your profile and I'm a long way away, it could well mean i plan to visit your area soon in fact it's almost a certainty as I do travel a good deal.
