To me the lady would not have to be a raving beauty. It is more important that she has a caring attitude and is aware of the needs of others. I would be delighted to have her hold my hand as we walked down the road.
Activities I would like us to share would be , going on holiday, walking going to cinema, theatre and concerts.and maybe going on a cruise.
A deal breaker would be smoking or getting involved with drugs.

I've known Charlie for many year's now. Not only as a dear personal friend, but he was my Theatre charge nurse.(ie,My Boss) as well.
He would make everyone around him laugh all day long, I most say he was a joy to work with. He broke my heart when he retired. He's a kind hearted and friendly too all he meet's as well all staff and students alike and very loyal to people he knows. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He would help anyone if he can.
He was there for me when I went through my back surgery and also through my retirement process, I couldn't thank him enough for his help which continuous even to this day.
What can I say about the geezer, He loves classical music, we would play it in theatre all day, the surgeons and the anaesthetist loved it when we work together. Such a lovely atmosphere we would have in our theatres.
He also a keen photographer and he also a model railway enthusiast. He goes out with friend when he can for meals or just a coffee just catch-up with people he knows. But he phones me everyday just to make sure I'm alright.
I do pop up to see him when I can and we both enjoy a drop of whisky together he's a really dear friend to me.
Unfortunately his wife is in a nursing home with permanent disability and severe dementia such that she doesn't recognise any of us.
He loves his gardening and his mad DIY project lol..
I would love to see him happier, as he does lives on he's own and could do with some company maybe someone close by or near him.

Hi Everyone,
I have known Charlie, for many years. As a work colleague and friend. We were both committee members of the London branch of The theatre nurses association NATN which then changed its name to AFPP, to be more inclusive. We worked together at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Charlie is a lovely loyal friend and will help anybody out.
Charlie is very knowledgeable about lots of topics. He used to love teaching student nurses. He loves photography, he would be the Christmas party photographer and took the photos at my birthday party. Charlie also loves his model railway and is very handy when it comes to D.I.Y. Charlie also likes technology and can find his way around most technical gadgets.
We've had long chats about football. His favourite team being Partick Thistle and mine being Westham Utd.
Charlie loves animals, although he doesn't have any now, he used tell us about his cats and if memory serves me right I think he had a red setter at one stage.
Charlie loves to chat and will keep you amused with some of his stories.
He likes music and an occasional dram of only the best single malt whiskey .
