After the sad passing of my wife of fifty years plus, I concentrated on my business of wood carving and leather crafts. I filled in my spare time with study of Anglo-Saxon history. However, I recognise I have become a bit of a loaner and am missing sharing my life with someone close. As a child of the late 50’s and early 60’s when someone recently described as the oldest hippie he new , minus the hair, I quite liked that.
If this was a tick box exercise I think some of this would be fair.
Grumpy:- Rarely, but has been known when I blunt a chisel .
Independent:- very stubbornly at times I am told.
Kind:- I try to be, as I value this in others.
Optimistic:- I believe so.
Honest:- yes to a fault. Some times a little too honest.
To sum it all up. “ I am what I am” socially clumsy at times but has an adventurous love of life.

I thought the first part was difficult, but this is worst. Describing an ideal is so artificial. I do know I would not be able to cope with a closed mind. Someone who could not embrace new ideas. Intelligence and kindness are a massive attraction in a personality along with independence and curiosity. Sensuality and physical attractiveness is all just part of the magic mix that makes one person attractive to another . A quote from an Anglo Saxon poem said it better than I can.
