About her
Aged 21, I relocated from London to Northern Italy where I lived for 30 years. Returned to the UK more than a decade ago, a strange journey that’s brought me to where I am now. An observer fascinated by human nature, cultures and what defines us.
Recently resigned from my job; an exciting new chapter I am giving myself space to explore. Free from the drudgery of commuting and 9 - 5 routine I had vowed never to do! Time is now comfortably on my side and I can even indulge in rewriting my profile. So thrust into this new and liberating phase, I look forward with optimism to something more fulfilling. A partner and soulmate to share all those fun things I have put on hold for far too long.
Back to sharing my interests, I lean towards the arts, from architecture to textiles, antiques, paintings, and anything to do with design. I was fortunate to have had my own jewellery business in Italy and a passion I miss.
I am not an adrenaline seeker, but that does not rule out having fun! Does it? I am well-travelled: India, Southeast Asia, Western Australia, North Africa and most of Europe. There’s still so much more to explore; maybe the vibrant, exotic city of Istanbul with its domes and minarets, or Barcelona, known for its friendly vibe and unique Gaudí architecture. Then, yes, back to my beloved Italy.
I embrace European culture and I am drawn to its diversity; a cultural and historical mosaic we are all part of. Yes, I do hope we form stronger ties with the EU and go back to freedom of movement across our borders.
My friends say I am arty, witty, intelligent and fun to be with. I do enjoy my own company, which I acknowledge is partly out of habit. I can always hug my cat if I crave affection - he’s a stray and puts up with it, which kind of sums it up.

At this stage of my life, the most important requisite is a good sense of humour that stems from life experience. Wise enough never take yourself too seriously. Maybe a little self-deprecating but that’s part of your charm.
