My friends say I'm bubbly/lively; I'll give most things a go. I love books, newspapers. . I like gardening. I play Bridge (badly).. Love walking in all weathers. I like animals especially dogs. ( I am often asked to look after friends dogs when they are on holiday). I like Radio 4 (especially when I'm cooking). I enjoy dancing but am out of practice. I moved house recently for practical purposes and am busy putting my mark on it!. I find shopping a bore unless I have company. I had a fantastic holiday in India 2/3 years ago and would love to return. Last year I went on a holiday cruising/walking/cycling/canooing the Great Glen which was rather adventurous. I would love to visit the National Parks in USA. I have lots of friends two of whom I holiday with now and then. I go youth hostelling about three times a year with a group of friends (not everyones idea of fun but cheap and cheerful and you do stay in lovely parts of the UK). I work as & when required which suits me fine.
Ideally, I would love a partner to share my life; gardening, holidaying, cooking, just doing general things together. I'm a chatty person who has a very friendly nature. My ex-husband with whom I was good friends, died six years ago and I still miss him at times. I have no special ideal man in mind but hope we would recognise a feeling of mutual attraction and of being comfortable with each other from which a friendship might form leading to possibly a lasting relationship. I would like to meet someone reasonably fit and active with enthusiasm for new things and a curiosity and energy for life. Ideally they would like the outdoors and enjoy walking (and cycling in good weather). At our age, tolerance would seem an important attribute; also kindness and patience. Faithfulness and affection a must. Not faddy about food. Hopefully, good at communicating, not moody. Definitely not a night owl as I am more of an early bird (though perhaps not quite so early these days!) Who knows - all these thoughts could go out of the window if the right person came along.
