A 'Pre-message'- I successfully underwent a prostatectomy, in 2019 and early 2021 had my second hip replacement. Now fully bionic! Main photo taken July 2021 during a 7 mile hike over the moors (Ilkley).

The way this seems to work is as follows:
You show an interest in me and I show an interest in you. Communication commences and during the initial exchange of emails I point out that I do not possess a car (no need of at present) or a mobile phone (Work of the devil! May eventually succumb). I will also have let it slip that I am not over fond of cats (lions, tigers etc excluded). In return you cease all manner of communication obviously through having contracted some fatal disease. Thus this health warning

Beneath a somewhat quiet and sensitive exterior there lies a kind, considerate, self disciplined man with a ready wit.
Well educated and widely travelled. Worked on five continents, mainly as a mining engineer.
I've played many sports, been up mountains, scuba dived among sharks and white water rafted down exotic rivers. Main interests now are photography, rambling, music ( classical, opera, rock and lots lots more), reading, finance, art projects and carpentry (dolls house approaching completion-photograph included).
Culinary skills-my digestive system has survived numerous attacks. I lack imagination but do a mean raw carrot!. Wonderful appetite - a most appreciative diner.
I love most animals and despair at the way we treat them. Prefer dogs to cats (see above).
I have been back in the UK some years and I now yearn for a soul mate to amuse, surprise, cuddle, share magic moments, confuse and put the world right with. Far prefer female company and not ashamed to admit it !

Attractive or even better 'cute' and having pride in appearance. Well spoken with a positive disposition and able to stand up for what she believes in. Friendly, considerate, understanding and supportive. Wanting to spoil and be spoiled. Must have a sense of humour or at least appreciate mine! Optimistic but with a degree of realistic thrown in.

Healthy eater (with occasional lapses) and with an interest in food preparation.
