About her
It's time to update my profile. I try to remain hopeful. I met someone I liked, we explored the possibilities of a settled relationship for 18 months, but have come to the sad conclusion that we are not compatible enough. That is now 2 years ago~ this is such a difficult task…..and a fulfilling relationship seems elusive.
I have added a recent photo.
I have a very part-time job and enjoy it; it does not tie me. Born in the West country I now live 30 mins east of Bath. Previously I worked in London and retained a room in a friend's house so I could stay when visiting friends, concerts and galleries.
I have travelled widely and lived in the Middle East for some years. Meals are a universal point of social interaction that a shared liking for a Mediterranean style diet would be helpful.
My hair displays a variety of natural streaks! It’s long but I wear it up most of the time. I dress well, and hope I always look appropriately turned out.
I like working in my large garden, which I was grateful for through Covid. I enjoy reading: presently 'Shostakovich~ a life remembered', and recently East West Street by Phillipe Sands. I love Chamber Music and went to the Wigmore Hall frequently, and still go to the wonderful Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon, which is close to my home. I am interested in all forms of art, modern as well as classical. I am a Friend of the RA, Tate, Wigmore, NT and WMC.
I value my friends and am grateful for their love over some difficult years. I have been divorced for 11 years although separated for much longer, and am heartily sick of being alone.
Socially I prefer small gatherings. I claim to be a person of integrity and hope that is justified. I'd like to find someone of a similar disposition to share both the delights and the troubles of a life well lived.
As I was unable to have children, it would be nice to meet someone who has already got grandchildren or has the expectation there will be some. I have a good relationship with my stepson and his young family.

Independent minded, cosmopolitan in outlook, have an interest in art, and enjoy classical music, would make an ideal match, but that's just an intellectual ideal. Kindness, compassion and emotional honesty are also important.
You would have, or had a career that brought you satisfaction and success. If you are still working, I would like you also to have time to travel and holiday in places of interest.
I hope you would share my love of the countryside, gardens and warm weather, and particularly enjoy walking in the mountains and places with big views. You would also enjoy that which a city has to offer by way of cultural pursuits, and beautiful buildings.

If you have a family I hope you would be involved with them, and if divorced not to have too many residual problems.
