About her
I'm a lively minded, intelligent, independent woman, looking for new friends, and hopefully, find a special man. I'm 73 (photo is recent), but not an old lady....still about 35 in my head, wish my knees felt the same age....somewhat kn......d from fell walking and rock climbing in the dim and distant past.
Variety of interests include photography, theatre, reading, cinema, riding my bike, walking the dog, walking in the countryside and along a beach. Travel, but increasingly less willing to spend hours at an airport. I love the lake district and used to enjoy walking there, but no fun alone. Whilst I say I'm an independent woman, I do get lonely at times, and no longer enjoy travel alone.
Recently started aquarobics, and walking netball. Sounds tame, but we 'old girls' can move and we are very competitive!
I hate shopping, reality shows, and cookery programmes. Oh! I don't do camping (in a tent), I like comfort and luxury would be a wonderful bonus. At home in a ball gown or wellies (not at the same time tho').
I'm a vegetarian, my choice, doesn't have to be yours. I don't go on about it, or try to convert anyone, but couldn't sit with you whilst you ate a full English! (Smell of bacon.....argh!).
Friends say I am reliable, flexible, calm, caring and can always be relied upon in a crisis. I consider myself to be honest, sometimes a little to outspoken.....have a sense of fun....glass half full type of woman, tactile and romantic.

My ideal man must have a sense of humour, be reliable, fun loving, tactile, care for me as I would care for him. Be solvent, enjoy similar interests to me (perhaps we can introduce each other to some new ones). Like animals, I have a dog and we come as a package. 5'10" + non smoker is a must.
I don't have grandchildren, and if you are an over indulgent g'parent who must see them every weekend, holidays with them etc., then I'm not what you are looking for.
I'm also seeking new women friends who share similar interests, who would perhaps also enjoy meeting up for lunch and a 'natter' now and then.
I also enjoy dancing, ceroc (modern jive) ballroom, it would be a bonus if you did too.
Car owner/driver.Not looking for a chauffer, but I don't want to do the driving all the time.
