Enjoy doing usual things: meals, cinema, shows, theatre, concerts, walking. Spending time with my family and friends is important. Have 2 grown up children & 5 adorable grandchildren.
Love gardening, creating a peaceful space where I relax & entertain al fresco in Summer. Like nature, wildlife, birds especially. Like walking, Tai chi gym occasionally.
Reading in French & in English like to keep up with current world affairs. Listen to R4 R3 classic FM France Culture. Though at times silence is perfect.
Musical tastes are eclectic: classical, a penchant for choral & Early (Baroque) music: one favourite is Henry Purcell's Dido & Aeneas (really pulls at my heart'strings..."pass the tissues please"), also enjoy listening to Monteverdi, Handel, Albinoni , Bach...Love classical guitar. In case you think I'm a bore, fear not I enjoy easy listening music, rock, jazz, blues.
Have a love of languages. Used to speak, write and read in several languages. Sadly through lack of practice over many years have now forgotten many: Arabic, German, Italian, Spanish... I suppose it's a tough situation of use it or lose it! Taking up Spanish again, a warm & exciting language.
Like visiting buildings, places of interest in UK and abroad. Like travelling.
Love the sea, the smell, listening to the waves crashing on the rocks, walking on a nearly deserted beach both in Winter and Summer, writing your name & mine in wet sand...and I like nearly all seafood...
